One Year in Silence

A year ago, we tried using a state-of-the-art language model to process a batch of pharmaceutical regulatory filings. We needed to parse the documents, redact sensitive employee and patient information, and extract key compliance parameters across the entire batch.

The project became a security and operational nightmare. Because the models ran in the cloud, highly sensitive data was constantly flowing out of our secure network. Worse, we had no way to control or audit the ingestion pipeline. Highly confident hallucinations slipped through, and there was no systematic way to pause the pipeline for human review when the model encountered ambiguous data.

Standard models can write code and pass exams, but they cannot handle multi-document processing pipelines where security, reliability and human control are non-negotiable.

The data is trapped

We've deployed AI inside European enterprises for years, and we see this everywhere. Critical knowledge, including engineering specs, operational guidelines, and compliance rules, is trapped in old archives, scanned drives, and messy PDFs.

When a team needs to find something, they end up manually hunting across dozens of disconnected systems or rebuilding analyses from scratch. The knowledge is there, but normal search engines and databases cannot bridge these scattered formats.
